Property Surveyor - North West LondonSalary: £49.526- £52,132Location: NW London (Regional patch, field-based with hybrid/agile working)Contract: PermanentDriving licence requiredAbout the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Property Surveyor to take ownership of complex building diagnostics, damp & mould cases, disrepair, and a wide range of repair and replacement works from first inspection through to completion. This is a varied, autonomous role covering a regional patch, where you'll provide expert technical guidance, building pathology insight, and end-to-end case management. You'll work closely with customers, contractors, legal partners and internal teams to ensure every case is handled professionally, accurately and in line with regulatory, technical and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Diagnose and manage property defects, disrepair, damp & mould cases and larger or complex works.Lead on building pathology assessments and produce high-quality technical reports, including Scott Schedules where needed.Manage pre, post and in-progress inspections ensuring works are completed to agreed standards, policies and legal obligations.Liaise with customers, delivery partners, colleagues, and, on occasion, legal professionals to resolve issues and progress cases.Review home improvement requests, party wall matters, adaptation requests, and ensure asset protection.Support technical decision-making around planned works, replacements and component improvements.Work with voids colleagues to scope and agree work specifications aligned with letting standards.Ensure all work complies with H&S legislation, internal policies, building regulations and best practice.What We're Looking ForSkills & ExperienceStrong experience diagnosing building defects, damp & mould, and property disrepair.Knowledge of housing-related regulation and legal frameworks, including Disrepair Protocol.Experience producing detailed inspection and technical reports.Surveying qualification or clear progression toward professional competency.Excellent communication, stakeholder management and customer-facing skills.Ability to manage a busy, varied caseload across a regional patch.Confident with ICT systems and digital tools used in property and case management.You'll also bring:A strong grasp of building pathology and the ability to translate findings into clear actions.A proactive approach to problem-solving and safety.A commitment to high-quality service and continuous improvement.What you will get in return:28 days annual leave plus bank holidaysIn addition to annual leave, a 'belief day' is to be taken at a time of your choosing.2 paid voluntary days to support your communityFlexibility to buy and sell 5 days leave each yearLife assurance covers 3 x your salary.Health cash plan scheme for your everyday healthcare needsEnhanced pension with matched contributions up to a maximum of 9% contributionTenancy deposit - interest free loan to help with rental depositsCycle to Work schemeEmployee assistance programmeSeason ticket loanAccess to extensive online trainingTenancy Deposits to assist colleagues with rental depositsWhy Apply?This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in improving property quality, safety and customer experience across a diverse regional estate.
