PROPERTY MANAGER (SOCIAL HOUSING) – Residential Estate Agency

Location: Brighton, BN2

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Experienced Social Housing Property Manager required to help oversee a social housing and temporary accommodation portfolio, ensuring compliance, coordinating repairs, supporting tenants, and maintaining strong relationships with councils, contractors, and stakeholders.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Manager with a background in social housing, emergency accommodation, or local authority leasing.

This role involves managing a varied portfolio supporting temporary accommodation services.

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

• Managing a large portfolio of social housing and temporary accommodation properties
• Ensuring compliance with landlord obligations and Council requirements
• Arranging safety inspections, repairs, and remedial works
• Responding promptly to emergency maintenance, security issues, and service failures
• Acting as the main point of contact for the Council, tenants, and contractors
• Handling tenant concerns, complaints, and urgent situations professionally
• Carrying out mid-term inspections, inventories, and check-out reports
• Coordinating void turnaround works to meet Council deadlines
• Liaising with utility suppliers and internal accounts teams
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date property records
• Organising and overseeing caretakers and maintenance staff schedules

What We're Looking For (Skills & Experience):

• Previous experience in property management within the social housing sector
• Strong understanding of repairs management, compliance, and void processes
• Experience working with local authorities, councils, or supported housing providers
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Strong administrative and record-keeping ability
• Calm and professional approach when handling complaints and emergencies
• Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
• Proactive and hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
• Full UK driving licence (pool car available)
