Project Surveyor Damp, Mould & Disrepair We are recruiting a Project Surveyor specialising in Damp, Mould, and Disrepair for a leading Social Housing Group based in Cambridgeshire, delivering services across the region! As a Project Surveyor, you will take ownership of damp, mould, and disrepair cases across a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring works are identified, managed, and delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The organisation continues to grow and evolve, with a clear strategy focused on sustainability, compliance, and resident satisfaction. Key responsibilities include: * Managing and surveying cases relating to damp, mould, and disrepair across residential properties * Conducting property inspections and producing detailed reports and specifications of works * Overseeing remedial works from inception through to completion * Managing contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure high-quality delivery * Ensuring all works are compliant with Health & Safety regulations and housing standards * Managing works within occupied homes, ensuring minimal disruption to residents * Handling disrepair claims and supporting legal processes where required * Monitoring budgets and maintaining strong commercial awareness * Building effective relationships with tenants, stakeholders, and contractors * Using IT systems for reporting, tracking, and case management The successful Project Surveyor will have: * HNC in Building Studies (or equivalent construction-related qualification) * Proven experience managing building works/projects from inception to completion * Strong experience in defect diagnosis, particularly damp, mould, and structural issues * Knowledge of construction technology, building regulations, and housing standards * Experience of producing technical reports, specifications, and managing contractors * Proven experience in damp, mould, and disrepair within social housing or residential property * Experience managing repairs, maintenance, or planned works projects * Strong understanding of Health & Safety and housing compliance requirements * Experience dealing with residents and managing sensitive situations * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines * Full UK driving licence and access to a suitably insured vehicle Please note: An Enhanced DBS check will be carried out for the successful Project Surveyor This role would suit an experienced Surveyor with a passion for improving housing conditions and delivering high-quality outcomes for residents.
