Project Support Officer – 6mths – hybrid London – c£350pday)
A Project Support Officer (Construction - NEC) is required by our client based in London on a hybrid basis, approx 2 days per week on site in London. You will provide administrative, coordination, and documentation support to project managers, particularly in the administration of NEC3 or NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contracts (ECC). Ensuring that contractual obligations are met, records are accurate, and communication flows smoothly between stakeholders, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
NEC Contract Administration:
Supporting the NEC Project Manager by maintaining accurate contract records, including early warning registers, compensation event logs, RAID Logs and change control records.
Documentation Management:
Ensuring project files, reports, and spreadsheets are up to date and in line with project standards.
Meeting Coordination:
Scheduling, attending, and taking minutes for project meetings, including risk reduction meetings (early warnings).
Reporting:
Gathering data from team members and compiling progress reports for project managers and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Acting as a point of contact between the project team, contractors, and clients.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
NEC Experience: Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 contract administration is crucial.
Construction Knowledge: General understanding of construction terminology and project lifecycle.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in document management and record-keeping.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills for dealing with contractors and stakeholders.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ideally project management software (e.g., SharePoint, CEMAR).
Organisational Skills: Ability to handle multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously
IT Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and, often, project management software (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint)
