About the Role
Croydon Council is seeking a highly organised and motivated Project Support Administrator to play a key role in supporting the management, monitoring and delivery of financial contributions secured through Section 106 agreements and the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). These contributions are essential in funding the borough's infrastructure and ensuring new developments positively support local communities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, managing processes, coordinating meetings, and supporting projects that have a direct impact on growth and regeneration within the borough.
What You'll Be Doing:
In this varied and fast‑paced role, you will:
Support Project Groups & Meetings
Coordinate agendas, papers and minutes for the Section 106 Framework Group, Infrastructure Finance Group and (where active) the CIL Implementation Group.
Organise monthly meetings, circulate documentation, and assist project managers with bid submissions.Manage Key Information & Systems
Maintain accurate data on the Council's Uniform Planning IT system relating to Section 106 and CIL contributions, triggers, payments and liabilities.
Update balance sheets weekly and monitor clawback, commitments and financial assignments.Assist with Financial Monitoring & Recovery
Support processes for the recovery of Section 106 and CIL income, working with Legal Services, Finance and Corporate Debt Recovery.
Collect, review and cleanse financial data and support preparation of demand notices, FOI responses and appeals documentation.Project & Reporting Support
Help prepare quarterly monitoring returns, internal reports, funding agreements and content for the Annual Monitoring Report.
Assist with tracking project spend, ensuring alignment with Section 106 and CIL allocations.
About You
You'll bring strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. You will also have:
Essential Knowledge
An understanding of the planning process and how local government operates.
A willingness to learn the legislation and regulations related to Section 106 and CIL.
Advance Excel SkillsSkills & Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in minute taking
Mailbox Management
Confidence working with numbers and financial data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn specialist IT systems.
Ability to read and interpret plans/drawings.
A methodical, logical approach with strong analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
