About the Company\n\nMy client seeks to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their new hospitality division. The project is a 32m hotel refurbishment project based in the city of London.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nAs Quantity Surveyor you will be working within & assisting the commercial & construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships, to maximise commercial returns & manage risk.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nImplement commercial strategy\nSupport the SQS & MQS commercial functions, assisting with & taking responsibility for:\nPreparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate s/cs, negotiation & finalise s/c orders, financial & commercial management of s/cs to Final Account completion.\nSite records & document control\nSite measurement records\nAssisting in the preparation of forecasts, targets & CV reconciliations\nValuations\nPrepare variations with adequate records & details, agree as works progress\nUpdate projected Final Account, prepare & submit in a timely manner\nLiaise with & commercially influence/challenge site management team\nMaintain & protect JSS commercial & contractual entitlement\nCVR - Be actively involved in & understand the process, maintain independent view\nRisk/opportunity - Review & consider\nInsurances/warranties - Develop understanding\nCash management - Be aware & be actively involved to ensure good cash management\nTender - Support as required\nManage & oversee AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work\nInvolvement with & take some responsibility for: Maintaining site records, control documents \n\nQualifications\n\nQauntity Surveying Degree essential.\n\nRequired Skills\n\nAbility to effectively utilise a range of technology platforms\nBe fully conversant with the use of the Standard Method of Measurement\nDemonstrate ownership/commercial awareness\nEffective time management, organisational, interpersonal and negotiation skills \n\nSalary range\n\n£60,000 - £75,000 + Package dependant on experience
