Project Quality Engineer\n\nLocation: Wolverhampton\nSalary: £42,000 + Excellent Benefits\nContract: Permanent | Full-Time | Hybrid\nIndustry: Engineering and Manufacturing\n\nOverview of Project Quality Engineer Role\nA Global Wolverhampton-based Engineering and Manufacturing Company is seeking an experienced Project Quality Engineer to support quality delivery across complex electromechanical machinery, mechanical handling & engineered process systems for regulated industries.\n\nThe manufacturing processes involve Machining, Welding & Heavy Fabrication so this Project Quality Engineer role suits someone who understands how quality must be controlled within a project-based Engineering & Manufacturing environment, involving similar manufacturing processes.\n\nThis is an influential position within a regulated sector where you will shape project quality from tender stage through to final release. If you enjoy structured project work, technical detail, and being heavily involved in meeting customer and compliance requirements, this is an excellent next step in your career.\n\nKey Responsibilities of Project Quality Engineer\nProject Quality Planning\n\nDevelop and deliver Project Quality Plans aligned to contractual and technical requirements\nReview client specifications and turn them into clear quality deliverables\nReview and approve MITPs for electromechanical machinery, machined parts, welded structures, and fabricated assemblies\nCreate contract specific procedures to support consistent project execution\nProvide quality input during tendering, risk reviews, and early planning stagesSupplier Quality and Compliance\n\nReview and approve supplier documentation including MITPs, procedures, and certifications\nAttend supplier kick off meetings and carry out surveillance across machining, welding, and fabrication processes\nMonitor supplier quality performance and ensure adherence to project requirements\nManage supplier non conformances with clear investigation and timely corrective actions\nCommunicate supplier performance, risks, and status updates across the project teamProject Assurance, Documentation, and Closeout\n\nManage project non conformances and ensure robust resolution\nSupport internal audits and contribute to maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards\nCompile and issue accurate lifetime records for customer acceptance\nRepresent quality during client reviews, project progress meetings, and technical discussions\nDrive improvements across documentation, quality processes, and project governance based on lessons learned \n\nAbout You\n\nYou are an experienced Project Quality Engineer who enjoys working closely with engineering, suppliers, and project teams. You understand electromechanical machinery plus CNC machining, welding, and fabrication processes.
