Planning Planner
We’re looking for a Project Planner with 2-5 years of experience, who will be responsible for delivering planning and scheduling activities on projects. Support with developing project standardised structures, ensuring baselines are managed and controlled, and ensuring that key dates and timelines are met. Provide project stakeholders with progress updates, project status and performance reports.
The role is based in Teesside but will involve travel to Nigg Bay once a month for 3 to 4 nights, all expenses will be paid.
Responsibilities:
Communicating with stakeholders to understand project objectives, scope of work and constraints. Develop project schedules for the construction phase according to standard processes and procedures. Supporting the coordination and management of projects. Gather information from stakeholders as required. Performing administrative tasks such as preparing scheduling meetings, minutes of meetings, etc. Support in development of key schedule documentation (Basis of Schedule, Schedule Narrative, etc.) Perform schedule updates and monitor project progress against the baseline. Identify and assess schedule variance. Identify and assess schedule changes and impacts. Identify potential schedule risks. Prepare and issue project reports.
Competencies:
P6/MSP proficiency, WBS/CBS integration, resource loading and critical path analysis.
Baseline set-up, management and control. Forecasting, trendin and EVM principles. Able to identify and assign risks to the schedule, review impact assessments. Understand change management process and tools, able to integrate key contract data into the schedule. Strong Excel/Power BI; data modelling and reconciliation across systems.
Qualifications:
Mandatory: HND, Level 5-7 Apprenticeship or Degree in Engineering/Construction/Project Management or equivalent experience.
Desirable: APM PMQ or AACE CCP/PSP in progress.
Systems & Softwear Proficiency:
Primavera P6 (Basic to Intermediate) Power BI (Basic). Microsoft Office (intermediate).
