About the RoleA leading UK infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its expanding energy delivery team. This role will take responsibility for the end‑to‑end management of complex energy infrastructure schemes across transmission, distribution and associated power networks.

You will lead the delivery of technically demanding projects, ensuring safe, compliant and commercially successful outcomes, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction and commercial functions.This position offers the opportunity to work on critical national infrastructure projects supporting the UK's evolving energy landscape.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery & Leadership

Manage the full project lifecycle from early planning through construction to final handover
Lead site and office-based teams across civil, electrical and commercial disciplines
Drive programme, cost, quality and safety performance in line with business objectives
Coordinate closely with engineering, construction and supply chain teams to ensure successful deliveryHealth, Safety & Environmental Management

Champion a positive health, safety and environmental culture on all projects
Ensure robust planning and implementation of RAMS and safe systems of work
Maintain compliance with all statutory regulations, industry standards and internal proceduresProgramme & Planning

Work with planning teams to develop and manage detailed delivery programmes
Monitor progress, identify risks to delivery and implement recovery actions where required
Ensure effective resourcing and sequencing of works to maintain programme certaintyCommercial & Contractual Control

Manage financial performance, including forecasting, cost control and CVRs
Support procurement, subcontractor management and performance monitoring
Identify, manage and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
Operate confidently within NEC forms of contractClient & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary point of contact for client representatives
Provide regular progress updates, reporting and programme reviews
Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Represent projects during audits, reviews and formal meetingsTechnical & Regulatory Oversight

Coordinate design and engineering inputs to resolve on-site and programme challenges
Support compliance with CDM regulations and Principal Contractor dutiesAbout You

Proven experience delivering projects within the energy or utilities sector
Background in electrical infrastructure, transmission or distribution environments
Experience managing projects across a range of voltage levels
Strong understanding of commercial management and NEC contracts
Confident managing multiple workstreams and complex stakeholder environments
Highly organised with strong communication and leadership skills
Competent in planning, cost management and performance reportingWhat you need to do now
