A leading Tier 1 building and civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery on a major package of work for the HS2 high-speed rail project in Birmingham. This is a high-profile opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes. Key Responsibilities: Take full responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery of a key HS2 construction package Lead multidisciplinary site teams, ensuring performance against programme, budget, and quality targets Coordinate closely with the client, supply chain, and stakeholders Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and compliance standards Drive risk management, cost control, and reporting procedures Provide leadership and mentorship to engineers and support staff Requirements: Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar Minimum 7 years' experience managing complex infrastructure or civils projects Previous experience on major rail or public infrastructure schemes Strong leadership, contract management, and commercial awareness Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Platinum), and First Aid certification desirable Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer: Competitive salary company benefits Opportunity to lead on a landmark infrastructure project Long-term role with a stable and growing main contractor Professional, high-performing team environment
