Project Manager – Utilities / Infrastructure

A specialist utilities and infrastructure contractor, operating as a long-term framework delivery partner within the water sector, is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take overall responsibility for the delivery of multiple workstreams across Yorkshire.

The business delivers works on behalf of a major UK water authority, and this is a senior, permanent role reporting directly into the Operations Manager / Director.

The Role

This position operates in a contracts / operational management capacity, with responsibility for overseeing several business units and site teams rather than being based on a single project. Key duties include:

Overall responsibility for delivery across multiple projects and workstreams

*

Direct line management of several Site Managers

*

Oversight of excavation, lining and CCTV teams

*

Planning and coordinating labour, plant and resources across business units

*

Ensuring safety, quality and performance standards are consistently met

*

Liaising closely with senior management and key client representatives

*

Managing programme, productivity and operational risk

*

Supporting commercial and operational reporting

Operational Scope

*

Planned and reactive sewer maintenance

*

Excavation and reinstatement works

*

Sewer lining and rehabilitation

*

CCTV survey and inspection works

*

Multiple concurrent sites and teams

About You

*

Proven experience as a Project Manager, Contracts Manager or similar senior operational role

*

Background within utilities, water or infrastructure environments

*

Experience managing multiple Site Managers and workstreams

*

Strong operational and organisational capability

*

Comfortable working in a reactive, framework-driven environment
