Role Overview

We are looking for a capable and proactive Project Manager to take ownership of renewable energy projects across the domestic and commercial sectors. While direct experience in the renewable industry is beneficial, it is not essential.

We would welcome applicants from broader construction backgrounds, including domestic, commercial, infrastructure, or energy projects.

The successful candidate will manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and stakeholder coordination to resource allocation and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

You’ll work in a tight-knit team environment with a strong commercial and digital focus. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to step off the tools or move up from a Project Coordinator or Project Engineer role into full project ownership.

Who Would Suit This Role

  • A time-served tradesperson or site supervisor looking to transition into project management, bringing hands-on knowledge with strong commercial and digital capabilities
  • A Project Coordinator or Project Engineer ready to step into a leadership role and manage projects end-to-end
  • Someone from the construction, energy, or infrastructure sectors with transferable project management skills
  • A motivated individual who thrives in a small business environment, enjoys autonomy, and takes pride in driving projects forward

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle of renewable energy projects (solar PV, battery storage, EV), ensuring timely, on-budget, and high-quality delivery
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to align project goals
  • Plan, allocate, and track budgets and resources effectively
  • Identify risks early, troubleshoot issues, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Use project data to track progress, manage scope changes, and report to stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships to ensure smooth execution and foster future opportunities
  • Support the identification and assessment of new business leads

Requirements

  • Proven experience coordinating or managing construction or energy-related projects
  • Strong organisational and planning skills; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams and engage clients
  • Technically confident and commercially astute
  • Hands-on, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full UK right to work
