M&E Project Manager) - Position Overview \n\nOur Client, a well - established construction company based in Manchester area is looking to recruit an experienced M&E Project Manager\n\nAs the M&E Project Manager you'll be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all technical aspects of interior refurbishment projects, ensuring that mechanical, electrical, and building services are designed, installed, and commissioned to the highest standards. Purchase additional holidays, tech scheme) Key Responsibilities\n\n Technical Coordination\n\nManage the design, coordination, and integration of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) services within refurbishment projects.\nReview and comment on technical drawings, specifications, and submittals.\nEnsure all building services are fully coordinated with architectural and structural elements. Design Management\n\nLiaise with consultants, designers, and subcontractors to develop technical solutions.\nMonitor design progress against programme milestones.\nEnsure compliance with client requirements, statutory regulations, and industry standards. Project Delivery Support\n\nWork closely with Project Managers and Site Teams to ensure smooth delivery of services installations.\nProvide technical support during construction, resolving design or installation issues.\nAttend site meetings, inspections, and progress reviews.
\n\nProcurement & Subcontractor Management\n\nAssist in the selection and procurement of MEP subcontractors and suppliers.\nReview subcontractor proposals and technical submissions.\nMonitor subcontractor performance and compliance with specifications.Quality Assurance & Compliance\n\nEnsure all installations meet quality standards and project specifications.\nOversee testing, commissioning, and handover processes.\nEnsure compliance with health & safety regulations and building codes.Risk Management\n\nIdentify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.\nEnsure design and installation risks are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.Client & Stakeholder Liaison\n\nAct as the main technical point of contact for clients and consultants.\nPresent technical solutions and updates to stakeholders.\nSupport client handover and post-completion queries. \n\n(M&E Project Manager) - Position Requirements \n\nEssential:\n\nStrong background in building services engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).\nExperience in interior fit-out / refurbishment projects (commercial, office, retail, or hospitality).\nGood understanding of UK building regulations and standards.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.\nStrong coordination and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Desirable:\n\nDegree or HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering or related discipline.\nMembership of a professional body (e.g., Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers).\nExperience with BIM and coordination software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks). \n\nKey Competencies\n\nLeadership and team coordination\nTechnical expertise in MEP systems\nAttention to detail and quality focus\nTime and programme management\nCommercial awareness \n\nStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
