Freelance Project Manager – £4m New Build Industrial Unit Location: West Midlands Contract: Freelance / Fixed-term Client: Regional Contractor We’re on the lookout for a freelance Project Manager to take the reins on a £4 million new build industrial shed in the West Midlands. This is a hands-on role with a respected regional contractor, so if you like running sites, keeping things on track, and don’t mind the occasional curveball from a challenging client, this could be perfect for you. The Role You’ll be the go-to person for the project, making sure it’s delivered safely, on time, and on budget. Key bits you’ll be doing: * Managing the site programme and keeping everything ticking along * Leading subcontractors and site teams like a pro * Keeping an eye on quality, H&S, and compliance * Handling budgets, procurement, and cost control * Dealing with a client who keeps you on your toes – a cool head is essential! * Reporting to senior management and making sure the handover is smooth We’re Looking For * Experience running industrial new build or steel-frame projects * Strong leadership and communication skills * Someone who stays calm under pressure (the client can be challenging!) * SMSTS, CSCS (Black/White), First Aid * Solid knowledge of UK construction regulations What’s On Offer * Freelance/contract role – get stuck in and make it happen * Work with a respected regional contractor * Opportunity to show off your skills and take ownership of a key project If you’re a hands-on Project Manager with a cool head, ready for a project that will keep you busy but rewarded, we want to hear from you
