About the Placement

Join one of the UK’s largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects through this 12-month Project Management Placement at a leading energy company.

This is a rare opportunity to develop leadership and project coordination skills on a multi-billion-pound construction programme. You’ll be supported by experienced professionals, immersed in live projects, and exposed to every stage of major energy delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the Project Management Programme, you will:

Contribute to the planning and delivery of key project milestones Lead or support work packages, tracking risks, issues and progress Support health & safety improvement initiatives Apply your academic knowledge to solve real-world technical challenges Take part in structured training and complete placement modules that align with your degree

Past placement students have had hands-on impact — from enabling works to radiation protection campaigns.

Key Criteria

On track to achieve (or have achieved) a 2:2 or higher in one of the following: Project Management Mechanical or Civil Engineering Science (related disciplines) Excellent team collaboration and communication skills Strong analytical thinking and willingness to take initiative Must have the right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship

Location

You’ll be based in Bridgwater, Somerset, either at the Hinkley Point C construction site or Satellite Delivery Centre, both part of the largest construction project in Europe.
