Project Manager – The role As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in leading and delivering initiatives that support the organisation’s strategic objectives. Reporting to the Director of Strategy and working closely with the General Manager, you will oversee full project lifecycles and drive efforts to enhance organisational efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation. Your responsibilities will include comprehensive project planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful outcomes and long‑term, sustainable transformation. Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Coordinate cross‑functional teams, assign tasks, and facilitate effective communication to ensure alignment and collaboration. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to mitigate disruptions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, department heads, project sponsors, and team members. Communicate project status, milestones, and key decisions effectively to ensure alignment and manage expectations. Address stakeholder concerns, resolve conflicts, and solicit feedback to enhance project outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction. Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, budget, and technology, to support project objectives and deliverables. Identify resource gaps or constraints and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address them proactively. Optimise resource utilisation and productivity through effective planning, prioritisation, and coordination. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure project success and transformational impact. Establish regular reporting mechanisms to track progress, analyse trends, and evaluate project outcomes against predefined targets. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management based on performance insights and lessons learned. Work closely with the management team to develop and sustain a high level of team energy and engagement, focused on great food and hospitality. Conduct regular performance reviews and talent‑management/succession planning activity. Ensure effective team communication flows throughout the venue. Ensure that any required training and development is delivered in line with any transformation projects if required.
Key Performance Indicators
Project Delivery: timely completion of projects, achievement of milestones within timelines. Cost Management: effective cost control, budget management during transformation, reduction in overall operational costs. Stakeholder Satisfaction: feedback scores, positive feedback from key stakeholders. Performance Metrics: improvement in key KPIs impacted by transformation, enhancements in productivity and efficiency metrics. Return On Investment (ROI): calculation of financial benefits derived from projects. Training And Development: facilitation of training programmes to equip employees. Technology Adoption: successful integration and adoption of new technologies, improvement in technology‑related KPIs. IPOE Review Score: review conducted by Business Excellence Team supported by quarterly self‑assessment.
What We're Looking For
Experience in the commercial sector, having taken direction, and delivered projects that enhance guest experience, operational efficiency and commercial success. Financially astute and understands complex finance models and accounting processes. Displays the ability to be planned and methodical in their approach, with an objective and considered point of view. Strategically focused, engaging and contributing to discussions in relation to operational strategy. Project management experience delivering projects and/or complex initiatives within time and budget parameters. Supporting delivery of strategy; can translate strategy into tangible plans to deliver the vision of change. Analytical, data‑driven approach to establishing business solutions, champions use of data in strategic approach. Commercial focus, understanding of operating models and levers for performance improvement using data‑driven approach. Flexible and agile, appreciating need for speed of action and reaction without diluting quality. Problem solver, identifying problems and reacting positively to ensure delivery of strategic objectives is achieved.
