About the Project Manager / Designer Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager / Designer to join our growing construction team, specialising in fire remediation works.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing projects from design development through to delivery, while acting as a central point of coordination between the BSR (Building Safety Regulator), clients, design consultants, and internal delivery teams.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and to the highest standards, with a strong focus on fire safety, design coordination, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management.
This is a full-time office-based position in Harefield, with site visits as required.
Project Manager / Designer Key Responsibilities
Project Management
· Manage fire remediation and associated construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
· Coordinate project programmes, deliverables, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
· Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
· Support the commercial and operational delivery of projects in line with company objectives.
Design Coordination
· Coordinate and manage the design process across multiple projects.
· Liaise with architects, fire engineers, structural engineers, façade consultants, and other design team members.
· Review and manage drawings, specifications, technical submissions, and design changes.
· Ensure designs are practical, compliant, and aligned with project and client requirements.
· Assist in the preparation and review of design information for tender, approvals, and construction stages.
BSR & Compliance Liaison
· Act as a key point of contact for Building Safety Regulator (BSR) related matters.
· Support and coordinate submissions, information requests, and communication relating to regulatory approvals.
· Ensure projects are progressed in accordance with current fire safety, building safety, and construction compliance requirements.
· Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain robust compliance records and documentation.
Client & Stakeholder Management
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
· Attend and lead project meetings where required, ensuring clear communication and follow-up actions.
· Provide regular project updates to the Managing Director and CEO.
· Act as a professional and solutions-focused representative of the business.
Documentation & Reporting
· Prepare and maintain project documentation, trackers, reports, meeting minutes, and action schedules.
· Ensure project records are accurate, organised, and up to date.
· Support with procurement coordination, project administration, and general project reporting.
Project Manager / Designer Candidate Requirements
Essential
· Previous experience in a Project Manager, Design Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar role within the construction industry.
· Experience working on fire remediation, cladding remediation, façade remediation, or building safety related projects.
· Strong understanding of construction design coordination and project delivery.
· Experience liaising with clients, consultants, and external stakeholders.
· Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
· Full UK driving licence (preferred if site visits are required).
Desirable
· Experience working with or liaising with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR).
· Knowledge of building regulations, fire safety compliance, and remediation processes.
· Experience reviewing technical drawings and construction documentation.
· Familiarity with project management tools, construction programmes, and document control systems.
· Background in design management, architecture, façade/cladding, or technical construction coordination.
