As such it is important to have excellent communication skills and a high degree of financial and commercial rigour.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Strong project management skills and the ability to own and deliver complex projects with minimal guidance
- Experience managing and delivering IT systems and software services to UK MoD
- Excellent commercial acumen
- Proven successful project management track record, including risk and issue management
- Demonstrated experience of managing project finances
- Excellent client facing written/verbal communication skills
- Strong team leadership and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to manage sub-contractors, including managing statements of work and resolving problems in a constructive manner
- Experience using project management tools for tasks such as project scheduling and financial reporting
- Formal project management qualification such as APMP or Prince2
- Knowledge of MoD procurement strategies, policies and processes
- University degree or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline e.g. Science, Engineering or Computer Science
