Synergy Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for a Project Manager Assisted Living Development
Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
Project Type: Demolition & New Build Assisted Living Flats
Client will look at Contract or Permanent position
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a significant assisted living development in Thatcham, Berkshire. The scheme involves the demolition of an existing building and the construction of 18 new flats with reception facilities (Class C3 residential use) . The project also includes:
Conversion of existing B&B facilities into 2 additional flats

Alterations to an existing shop and café, including window and door alterations

Associated infrastructure works and access roads

The Role As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the project from inception through to completion . You will:
Lead day-to-day project delivery on-site and off-site

Manage and support a Site Manager , who will report directly to you

Report into a visiting Contracts Manager

Work closely with design teams, subcontractors, and client representatives

Ensure programme, budget, quality, and safety objectives are met

Oversee demolition, construction, fit-out, and handover phases

Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reporting

Coordinate statutory inspections, planning conditions, and building control compliance

You will be fully supported by a strong back-office team including commercial, planning, and administrative resources.
About You We are looking for someone who has:
Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager on similar new-build or multi-unit residential schemes

Experience of demolition and complex, multi-phase construction projects

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a Site Manager

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Strong understanding of health & safety, CDM regulations, and quality standards

Experience working on projects with vulnerable resident groups (desirable, not essential)

Relevant construction qualifications (HNC/HND, degree, or trade background with experience) and SMSTS/CSCS/1st Aid are a must!
