Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager with demonstrable experience delivering client side construction and development projects of varying scale and complexity.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day to day project delivery with responsibilities  including; coordinating design and contractor teams, managing programme and cost, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance, and acting as a key client interface.

This is a hybrid role combining remote working, office collaboration, and regular site attendance as required for effective project delivery. Flexibility will be considered where reasonably practicable.

We are looking for someone who can manage competing priorities effectively within a dynamic project environment and who is interested in professional development within a growing consultancy with direct access to the Founder for support and guidance.



Key Responsibilities & Competencies

The post holder will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Lead the delivery of construction and development projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover, taking accountability for agreed outcomes and maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams, including consultants and contractors, fostering collaborative working relationships and ensuring clear communication across all stakeholders.
  • Chair project meetings and undertake site inspections as required to support effective project delivery, with reasonable adjustments considered where applicable.
  • Prepare clear, accurate and well-structured project documentation, including reports, briefs, execution plans, programmes, risk registers and meeting minutes, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
  • Monitor and manage programme, cost, risk, quality and change control, applying structured and pragmatic problem-solving approaches to maintain project performance.
  • Support clients with procurement strategies and tender processes, ensuring fair, transparent and well-documented evaluation and appointment procedures.
  • Support compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, in line with Health and Safety legislation, building regulations, planning obligations and health & safety standards
  • Build and maintain constructive professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders, representing the consultancy with integrity and reliability.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business systems and processes, demonstrating initiative and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Person Specification

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrable project management experience within construction and/or development, delivering projects of varying scale and complexity.
  • Strong working knowledge of the construction process, procurement routes, contract administration principles, and project delivery
  • A relevant educational qualification in construction, engineering, or the built environment or equivalent demonstrable professional experience.
  • Competence in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent project management software tools.
  • A valid CSCS card or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement of employment where required for site access.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and client offices across the UK as required for effective project delivery. Flexibility will be considered where reasonably practicable.
  • Ability to produce clear, structured written reports and communicate effectively with a range of professional stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering projects in accordance with defined quality standards and processes.
  • Proven ability to take responsibility for one or more projects of moderate complexity, managing programme, cost and quality objectives.
  • Employment will be subject to the candidate having the right to work in the UK.

Desirable Criteria

  • Membership of, or working towards membership of, a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, APM, CIOB, ICE) or equivalent professional development.
  • Knowledge of standard forms of construction contract, including JCT and NEC
  • Familiarity with feasibility studies, development appraisals, planning processes, and building regulations.
