With the autonomy to manage your own projects, youll see the direct impact of your work on efficiency, innovation and continuous improvement across the business.Project Engineer Role & ResponsibilitiesLeading and overseeing CAPEX projects from concept through to completionIndependently managing small to medium-sized projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and operational requirementsActing as a representative of the business at internal and external meetingsMaintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentationManaging project budgets and controlling expenditureSupervising contractors, ensuring safe working practices, inductions and compliance with site proceduresWorking closely with the engineering team to align project objectives and deliveryCommunicating project plans, timelines and requirements to key stakeholdersProviding regular progress updates to stakeholdersTaking ownership of mechanical and electrical elements of projectsSupporting the design and modification of machinery, systems and building infrastructure where requiredResearching and assessing new machinery and technologies suitable for use across the businessKeeping up to date with developments in food production technology and industry innovation, including attending trade shows and exhibitionsSupporting and delivering training for production teams as part of project implementationProject Engineer Skills and ExperienceMinimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in EngineeringStrong CAD capabilityExperience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (food or FMCG preferred)High level of competence with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong attention to detailEffective communication and stakeholder engagement skillsProject Engineer Benefits & Hours of workSalary up £65k (DOE)Mon to Fri (Days)Supportive leadership team with an open-door approachContributory pension scheme (8% total, with 5% employee contribution)28 days annual leave, increasing annually up to an additional 5 daysLife assurance cover of up to three times annual salaryAdditional holiday entitlementEmployee Assistance ProgrammeAccess to a retail discounts platformRegular team lunches, festive gifts and team-building activitiesOpportunities for professional development through recognised training coursesClear progression opportunities with a strong internal promotion ethosOn-site parking availableUnfortunately, due to time restrictions we cannot respond to every applicant, in the event that we havent contacted you within 48 hours please take it you have not been successful for this particular role, but your details will be kept on file and considered for all future vacancies.We are an equal opportunities agency and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.We are acting on behalf of the client as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.JBRP1_UKTJ
