Job Title: Project Engineer – Defence Sector
Location: Norwich
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
We’re seeking a proactive, organised, and driven professional to join a respected engineering business in Norfolk specialising in high-specification solutions for the defence and energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage defence projects from handover of the tender through to successful delivery.
* Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to ensure project execution aligns with company objectives.
* Monitor progress, resolve issues, and report on key milestones.
* Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal operations teams.
* Maintain accurate project documentation, including programmes, reports, and order entries.
* Attend and organise meetings with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
* Identify budget deviations and report risks or concerns proactively.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* HND or Degree in Engineering (or a related field).
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English & Maths (Grade C or above).
* Proven experience in a similar project management role, ideally within the defence or energy industries.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project management principles.
* UK status (due to project security requirements).
Desirable:
* PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification.
* Experience in an engineering manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with rotating electrical machines.
