Job Description

This is an exciting full time, permanent PROJECT ENGINEER position which will provide an exciting opportunity to train and progress with a forward thinking Company.


The Mistras Group design, manufacture and install Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) systems for critical infrastructures globally. The SHM Systems are designed to monitor the integrity of various structures, such as bridges, wind turbines, oil rigs and other Oil and Gas structures to identify damage mechanisms and behaviours in order to look out for early warning of potential damage caused by the environments they operate in.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and report on day to day operational aspects to ensure project success
  • Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines
  • Review and interpret inspection results, preparation of client reports
  • Mentor and train personnel in inspection methods
  • Undertake site visits as required


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience desirable
  • 1 - 3 years' of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager
  • demonstrable experience in NDT / SHM site inspection and installation
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
