Role Overview

As a Project Engineer, you will work alongside Project Managers to ensure engineering projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as a focal point for delegated tasks, ensuring technical integrity, adherence to requirements, and effective coordination across internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Communication

Act as the point of contact for delegated elements of the project, including technical, schedule, resource, and cost control.

Communicate project progress, risks, and changes clearly and promptly to stakeholders.

*

Coordinate with engineering disciplines such as Design, Analysis, and Safety Management.

*

Prepare and maintain project documentation in line with internal procedures.

Compliance & Standards

*

Ensure tasks comply with relevant industry standards and contractual requirements.

*

Create and maintain structured compliance matrices, ensuring full traceability.

*

Ensure all technical and project documentation is controlled and configurable.

Planning & Reporting

*

Support cost estimation and resource planning for delegated work packages.

*

Track progress against the project timeline and highlight deviations.

*

Contribute to project reporting for internal reviews.

Technical Support

*

Define test and trial requirements in collaboration with customers, stakeholders, and test houses.

*

Participate in design reviews, providing input on manufacturability, compliance, and product safety.

*

Support technical discussions with suppliers and subcontractors.

*

Provide hands-on engineering support during design, development, and early manufacturing stages.

What We’re Looking For

*

Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

*

Strong understanding of engineering principles and the project lifecycle.

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

*

Familiarity with quality and safety standards (advantageous).

*

Proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving and risk management.
