Overview: Working exclusively with our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Project Engineer to support NPI projects and continued business growth.Remit: Fantastic opportunity for a skilled Project Engineer with demonstrable experience of managing NPI projects within injection moulding or other plastics manufacturing disciplinesThis role will suit an ambitious Project Engineer looking to continue their own personal development and further their career within the plastics industry The successful Project Engineer will be responsible for introduction of new plastic injection moulded products from concept through to production integrationRole:In the role of Project Engineer you will lead NPI projects from customer handover through to productionAs Proiect Engineer you will act as the primary technical point of contact for customers during the NPI phaseDevelop and manage detailed project plans, timelines and progress reportsCoordinate cross functional teams and activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, meeting customer quality and performance requirementsLead injection moulding projects from RFQ, design, material selection, tool trialling, validation and productionLiaise with toolmakers, material suppliers and external stakeholdersReview technical drawings and tooling design approvalsReview product designs for manufacturability Ensure compliance with regulatory quality standards Support customer technical discussions, trials and approvalsIdentify opportunities for cycle time reduction, scrap reduction and process improvementSupport Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesExperience Requirements:Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Polymer Engineering or related field and advantageDemonstrable experience within injection moulding or other plastics manufacturing disciplinesGood knowledge of injection moulding processes, tooling and materialsAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsFamiliarity with quality systems, PPAP, FMEA and validation processesStrong project management and organisational skillsExcellent communication skills both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a teamKey Words: NPI Project Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, NPI Engineer, Tooling Project Engineer, Injection Moulding, Plastics, Mechanical Engineer, Technical Project ManagerFOOTERDue to the sheer volume of applications we receive we will only contact successful applications that meet the requirements of our client job brief.
