They are currently looking for a skilledProject Engineerto support engineering, design, integration, and project delivery activities across complex machinery and conveyor-based systems.The Role Project EngineerProduce 2D and 3D general arrangement drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCADIntegrate in-house equipment (conveyors, structures and machinery) with third-party systemsCreate optimised plant layouts ensuring material flow, process efficiency and space-savingDevelop detailed manufacturing drawings, models and BOMs using SolidWorks and MRP systemsManage engineering development from concept through production, testing, installation and commissioningLiaise with customers, suppliers, manufacturing and project teams to ensure technical accuracyAttend site for measurements, installation support and project reviewsProduce technical specs, manuals, documentation and engineering standardsEnsure design quality, cost, safety and compliance across all stages of the projectIdentify design improvements, reduce costs and enhance layouts or processesSupport Sales with technical input, proposals and layout reviewsFollow company procedures, Health & Safety standards and Quality processesMinimum Skills / Experience Required Project EngineerExperience as a Project EngineerExperience in sheet metal and fabricated product designExperience with special purpose machinery (desirable), ideally conveyorsProficient in SolidWorks 2024 and AutoCAD 2DKnowledge of electrical engineering (basic)Strong understanding of relevant industry regulationsStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsCreative, innovative and continuous improvementfocusedExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Excellent IT skillsConfident with decision-makingHNC or equivalent in Mechanical or Manufacturing EngineeringThe Package:Starting salary circa £45,000 per annumOvertime availableFree onsite parking33 days holidayPensionAbout Precision PeoplePrecision People is a leading recruitment agency that specialises in sourcing top talent for Engineering, Technical, Sales and Senior Management roles across a wide range of industries.
