The Role of Project Engineer We’re looking for a hands-on Project Engineer to join our growing team. You will take the lead on coordination of all project elements including engineering, quality planning, installation, commissioning and final buy-off phases as well as ensuring the project remains within budget and in line with customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Management responsibility for all elements of the projects to keep on track to timing plans, within budget as well as achievement to other relevant KPIs. Work closely with the customers to react quickly to any changes to specification or project requirements. Manage Customer and internal Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and participate in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes Apply specific technical skills as required to support customer or colleagues and assist design verification and sign off reporting. Produce clear, focused and understandable explanations for change requests (PCR / ECN) and accurately cost any change in specification. Anticipate any potential project risks, identifying and establishing corrective actions and performing root cause analysis to resolve problems. Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analyse (PFMEA), quality history reviews, robustness studies, etc. What We’re Looking For Experience working in an Automotive supplier into OEMs Ability to work with multiple projects at various stages of product life cycle and plan and prioritise effectively Proactive and able to cope with autonomous nature of the role to be able to decide the best way forward when confronted with issues. Confident communicator across all levels of the business and with customers Engineering background (education or experience) to help in reading engineering drawings and being able to work with customers to develop solutions to any technical issues that may arise
