PROJECT ENGINEER / ESTIMATOR\nElectrical Contractor – Oxford\nSalary: £55,000–£60,000 + Benefits\n\nAn established and respected electrical contractor based in Oxford is seeking a skilled Project Engineer / Estimator to join our growing team. This is a key position offering long-term stability, excellent career development, and the opportunity to take ownership of varied commercial, residential, and industrial projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Prepare and submit competitive tenders and quotations for works ranging from small refurbishments to £1m+\n\n * \n\n Interpret technical drawings and specifications, carrying out accurate material take-offs and procurement\n\n * \n\n Lead projects from tender through to final account, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction\n\n * \n\n Utilise IT software for estimating, project planning, and reporting (Word, Excel, Project, Access, PowerPoint)\n\n * \n\n Liaise with clients, principal contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure best-value solutions\n\n * \n\n Attend design and progress meetings; prepare RFIs, method statements, and risk assessments\n\n * \n\n Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, consultants, and end-user clients\n\n * \n\n Manage multiple projects including new builds, refurbishments, and small works packages\n\n * \n\n Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, legislation, and quality standards\n\nAbout You\n\n * \n\n Time-served electrician with strong technical and practical knowledge\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in estimating and project management within an electrical contracting environment\n\n * \n\n Commercially aware with experience working under various contract forms\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational abilities\n\n * \n\n Able to work independently and collaboratively across project teams\n\n * \n\n Valid UK Driving Licence essential\n\n * \n\n NICEIC Qualifying Manager status or C&G 2391 desirable but not essential\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary: £55,000–£60,000\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting and varied electrical projects\n\n * \n\n Supportive team environment with opportunities for progression
