Job Description:

The Electronic Systems team is responsible for extremely complex and innovative projects, we are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Project Coordinator who will play a key role in ensuring project delivery by coordinating tasks, assisting with planning cycles, and preparing financial and performance updates. You’ll analyse project data, maintain risk and opportunity records, and contribute to key Lifecycle Management (LCM) activities. The position involves organising reviews and meetings, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve issues, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Core duties:

  • Assisting the project leadership team in the management of tasks and work packages
  • Support the planning, resource and financial monthly update cycle
  • Carry out data analysis of the project performance and produce reports for the project leadership team
  • Update and report the status of risk and opportunities
  • Assist in the project Lifecycle Management (LCM) processes
  • Coordinating meetings and reviews with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline team members to drive effective problem solving
  • Build strong relationships with the team and key internal and external stakeholders

Essential Skills:

  • Awareness of project management fundamentals
  • Competent in data gathering and analysis.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • APMQ or similar project management qualification (desirable)
  • Competent in Microsoft Project (desirable)
  • Project support experience in the Aerospace or Defence industry (desirable)

The Projects Team:

The Electronic Systems (ES) sector spans the commercial and defense electronics markets with a broad portfolio of mission-critical electronic systems, including flight and engine controls; electronic warfare and night vision systems; surveillance and reconnaissance sensors; secure networked communications equipment; geospatial imagery intelligence products and systems; mission management; and power-and energy-management systems.
