Job Description

Project Controller – Birmingham\n\nYou will take ownership of controlling cost, schedule and risk across complex defence programmes, with a clear line of sight between data and decision making. This role gives you influence, progression and the opportunity to strengthen your project controls capability within regulated environments.\n\nWhat you will need\n\n• British is required and applicants must have been born in the UK.\n• Experience working on UK defence programmes or within defence delivery environments.\n• Strong capability in project controls covering planning and scheduling, cost management or risk management.\n• Confidence operating within structured governance and assurance frameworks.\n\nSalary and rewards\n£50,000 to £70,000 plus car allowance.\n\nWhat you will be doing\n\n• Controlling project performance across cost, schedule and risk for defence programmes.\n• Developing and maintaining integrated schedules and forecasts to support delivery decisions.\n• Supporting cost control, earned value management and performance reporting activities.\n• Identifying and analysing risks and opportunities to inform mitigation planning.\n• Producing clear dashboards and insight for programme and senior stakeholders.\n\nYour experience\n\n• Background in project controls, cost engineering, planning or risk management roles.\n• Practical experience with planning tools such as Primavera P6 or equivalent.\n• Exposure to cost control, forecasting, earned value or quantitative risk analysis.\n• Experience working in defence, infrastructure, engineering or complex delivery settings.\n• Ability to translate data into clear insight for non-technical stakeholders.\n\nBenefits and balance\nRewards extend beyond pay with car allowance, permanent health insurance and private medical insurance.\n\nWhere you will be based\nBirmingham with a hybrid working pattern and travel as required.\n\nShare your profile to arrange a short confidential call this week.\n\nDue to the nature of work at our client’s site, these vacancies are only open to British who can obtain Security Check clearance.\n\nThis is a permanent role.\n\nElectus Recruitment Solutions provides specialist engineering and technical recruitment solutions to high-technology industries.
