About the role
The Programme Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex projects within the Regulatory Excellence Programme. This is a large high-profile programme implementing a wide range of process and technology changes to transform the regulatory operating model of the organisation, making it more integrated, proportionate and efficient.
The programme is embracing a new, more collaborative approach to bringing technical and business teams together to support effective delivery of change through establishing a Regulatory Case Management Service.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver large and complex programmes, ensuring timely and effective delivery of all technology components, including platform simplification initiatives. Oversee delivery across multiple product groups, meeting agreed baselines for time, budget and scope while maintaining required quality standards. Build and manage strong stakeholder relationships, setting expectations, defining scope, and facilitating key decisions. Develop project plans, deliverables and milestones to achieve desired business outcomes, securing and coordinating resources as needed. Proactively manage dependencies, risks and issues to maintain delivery momentum. Ensure all work adheres to required project management policies, standards, methods and governance frameworks. Provide direction and coaching to project managers and delivery teams to enable best‑practice execution.
Skills:
Minimum:
Significant experience managing successful large and complex technology change projects (£multi-million) in Financial Services or for a government or regulatory body, managing through to successful realisation of benefits. Significant experience shaping business ideas and initiatives into detailed project plans for multi-workstream delivery to achieve business outcomes Significant experience of planning and controlling project delivery, with a project management qualification.
Essential:
Experienced in delivery management across technical, data and architecture remediation on Salesforce or other large‑scale enterprise platforms. Skilled in leading teams through structural, procedural and cultural change, securing commitment to new ways of working. Strong ability to build effective relationships with sponsors, senior leaders, stakeholders and SMEs. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with a track record of managing dependencies, risks and issues to ensure successful delivery. Clear and confident communicator, able to engage at all levels and provide timely, meaningful updates to manage expectations. Highly effective at influencing and negotiating within matrix environments, balancing competing priorities and managing conflict with resilience. Experienced working in Agile delivery environments. Capable of coaching others in project and programme management methodologies and frameworks.
