We are seeking an experienced Operations Programme Manager to lead and deliver large-scale change initiatives across payments and wider banking operations. This role will oversee the end-to-end management of complex, multi-stream programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of payments expertise (including PSD, PSR), reconciliations and knowledge of collateral management within a financial services environment.
- Lead the delivery of large-scale programmes from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational needs.
- Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, including steering committees, working groups, and senior stakeholder engagement.
- Manage interdependencies, risks, and issues across multiple workstreams, ensuring proactive resolution and delivery assurance.
- Drive change across domestic and cross-border payment systems (e.g. SWIFT, SEPA, CHAPS, Faster Payments) and ensure alignment with PSD and PSR regulatory requirements.
- Oversee reconciliations transformation initiatives, including Intellimatch implementation, optimisation, and operational adoption.
- Deliver collateral management process and system enhancements, improving efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage operational readiness, migration, and integration for new platforms, processes, and control frameworks.
- Support enhancements to operational processes across trade settlement, cash management, and reference data.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape the delivery roadmap, prioritise initiatives, and track benefits realisation.
- Ensure all programme documentation and artefacts meet quality, compliance, and audit standards.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Programme Manager in financial services, leading complex, cross-functional operations programmes.
- Strong expertise in payments operations, including domestic and cross-border systems, payment messaging standards, and settlement processes.
- Knowledge of PSD and PSR regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in reconciliations management and related platforms, with Intellimatch strongly preferred.
- Exposure to collateral management processes and operational change.
- Background in delivering operational and regulatory change across banking operations.
- Experience managing budgets, resources, and delivery timelines in a multi-project environment.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with proven ability to influence at senior levels.
- Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery models.
- Experience working across multiple legal entities, jurisdictions, and currencies.
- Knowledge of wider operational areas such as trade lifecycle events, transaction reporting, and operational risk management.
