Overview:
A high-impact opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Programme Manager (VP level) to lead complex, multi-stream programmes within the operations function of a global financial services organisation. You’ll be delivering strategic change aligned to the EMEA business agenda—across trade lifecycle transformation, payments infrastructure, operational risk, and regulatory compliance.
This role sits within a dynamic portfolio office driving regional integration, operational excellence, and end-to-end process enhancement across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead large-scale, cross-functional programmes from initiation to closure—ensuring delivery to scope, time, and budget.
- Drive governance, interdependency management, risk mitigation, and benefit realisation across complex change initiatives.
- Manage trade lifecycle and payments-related programmes, covering trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation through to SWIFT, CHAPS, SEPA, and cross-border payments.
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager to align project prioritisation with strategic goals and resource capacity.
- Deliver robust stakeholder management across operations, technology, finance, and compliance functions.
- Oversee internal team structuring, third-party engagement, and cross-entity delivery assurance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational risk frameworks and maintain high-quality programme artefacts.
- Support post-implementation reviews, continuous improvement, and audit readiness.
What You Bring:
- 8+ years' experience delivering multi-stream programmes in global financial institutions.
- Strong domain knowledge across the trade lifecycle, investment operations, and payment systems.
- Demonstrable experience leading both regulatory and technology-driven change in investment banking environments.
- Proven track record of managing governance, resource allocation, programme budgeting, and stakeholder alignment.
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and managing blended delivery teams.
- Expertise in managing risks, RAID logs, and reporting into senior governance forums.
- Strong documentation, control, and audit preparation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and leadership capabilities with a structured approach to delivery.

- Experience in cross-entity or dual-regulated financial environments.
- Relevant certifications: Prince2, MSP, PMI, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of SOX, GDPR, and operational resilience frameworks.
