Production Support Engineer
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Production Support Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Lymington .

Introduction
The Production Support Engineer will be akey member of the Operations team, responsible for ensuring efficient, high-quality production through effective process control, equipment readiness, documentation, and staff capability. The role acts as the first point of contact for manufacturing issues and plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement and production culture.

Responsibilities
Ensure the shop floor and production staff are equipped with the appropriate tools, documentation, and training to support efficient, high-quality manufacturing activities.
Liaise closely with the Quality & Process Engineer to identify, investigate, and resolve quality-related issues.
Lead / support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen activities.
Ensure manufacturing equipment (including formers and presses) is maintained and serviced to agreed standards and available for use as required.
Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day manufacturing issues, escalating to the Operations Manager when necessary.
Work collaboratively with Operations to improve layouts, workflows, and overall production efficiency.
Become an active trainer of production skills and support handovers of new products and processes.

Ideal Experience
25 years experience working in aproduction or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of process control, process optimisation, and problem-solving methodologies.
Ability (or willingness to learn) to maintain and support production equipment such as formers and presses.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools (preferred).
Capability to train others and support effective handovers of new skills, products, and processes.
Strong communication skills, and a good understanding of production documentation and standard operating procedures.

£ 35K - £ 40K
