We are seeking a motivated and experiencedConversion Supervisorto lead the Conversion team and support the continued growth of the business. This role requires a strong leader who can drive performance, uphold company values, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations across the workshop.You will oversee daily production activity, coordinate with multiple departments, manage staff planning, and play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives.Hours:MondayFriday, 8:00am4:00pmKey ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipManage the Conversion production schedule and adapt plans as requiredDefine deadlines for orders and adjust machine/shop capacity based on workloadCoordinate closely with Extrusion, Maintenance, Logistics, Technical Service and SEPOversee installation and start-up of new machinery in collaboration with Technical teamsMonitor equipment maintenance and ensure timely interventionsPeople ManagementConduct team and individual meetingsCreate staff rotas and adapt planning to operational needsPropose training plans and support staff developmentParticipate in recruitment and decision-making processesValidate hours worked and manage temporary labour requirementsAddress organisational or interpersonal issues effectivelyPerformance & Continuous ImprovementLead or co-lead improvement projects (5S, SMED, TPM)Define and monitor KPIs for the PP transformation areaAnalyse production incidents, customer complaints and non-conformitiesSet team and individual objectives and evaluate performanceResearch and implement technical improvements to enhance productivity and qualitySupport development of new products and process evolutionQuality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure product quality controls are completed and recordedConduct risk analysis and support safety assessmentsEnforce Quality, Safety and Environmental proceduresMaintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop and surrounding areasSupport waste sorting and recycling policiesAccountabilitiesProductivity and performance of the Conversion workshopQuality of processed productsDelivery of KPIs and continuous improvement outcomesEffective communication flow between teams and managementPersonal ProfileTraining & QualificationsNVQ Level 3 or equivalentTechnical qualification preferredBackground in plastics or conversion processes desirableStrong computer literacyEnglish language skills preferredSkills & KnowledgeExpertise in technical conversion processesStrong leadership and people-management capabilityERP experience desirableSolid understanding of safety cultureAnalytical mindset and strong problem-solving skillsOpen-minded, proactive, and a role model in manufacturing leadershipExperienceMinimum 5 years experience in manufacturingExperience in product conversion is highly desirableBenefits:Matched pension up to 9%Level 1 PMI Healthcare4x Death in ServiceIncome Protection InsuranceFree onsite parkingCycle to Work schemeEmployee rewards platformJBRP1_UKTJ
