Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Leyland
Pay Rate: £15:50PH
Shift Pattern: 06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Friday
Duration: 12 weeks temp to perm opportunity for the right person
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Production Line Supervisor to oversee and lead our assembly line operations. This is a key leadership role where you'll guide and inspire a team of Line Leaders and General Assembly Workers to achieve production goals while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership will directly impact efficiency, problem resolution, and continuous improvement on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Line Leaders and Assembly Workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently in alignment with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Clearly communicate expectations, set production goals, and provide ongoing coaching to foster employee growth and performance improvement.
Manage recruitment, training, and development efforts to maintain a skilled, motivated workforce.Production Process Optimisation:
Oversee the setup of the production line and review paperwork to ensure daily operations run smoothly and effectively.
Proactively identify production line issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineers, technical staff) to resolve challenges swiftly while maintaining production deadlines and quality standards.
Continuously monitor and optimise production flow, control points, and resource usage to maximize efficiency and minimise costs.Problem Solving & Decision Making:
Investigate and troubleshoot production issues, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions to keep production on track.
Foster a collaborative environment by engaging the team in finding innovative solutions and resolving obstacles that may arise during the production process.Safety & Compliance Leadership:
Promote and enforce safety protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe, clean, and compliant work environment for all employees.
Educate the team on the proper use of equipment and control points, and lead by example in adhering to company policies and industry best practices.Qualifications:
Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally with supervisory or leadership experience.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to motivate, guide, and support team members.
In-depth knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet production deadlines without compromising quality.
