VEKA Recycling is an industry leader in recycling ‘end of life’ uPVC windows and doors, offering a reliable, cost-effective and long-term service that you can depend on. We work with window fabricators and installers, as well as waste companies throughout the UK to ensure that valuable uPVC material is not lost to landfill.


We use our innovative recycling process to close the loop on uPVC recycling. This means that old windows and doors can be recycled and extruded into new windows and doors that boast the same standard of quality as the ones previous.

Main Purpose:

  • Overseeing production processes
  • Creating and executing daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules
  • Managing production equipment and taking responsibility for its maintenance schedules
  • Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
  • Maintaining hygienic conditions for both employees and the factory itself
  • Implementing all the company’s procedures and policies
  • Communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management
  • Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control
  • Training and coaching Production Operatives
  • Implementing safety, health, environment and quality requirements


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 22 production operatives.
  • Carry out process assessments and provide detailed reports.
  • Identify process improvements and provide detailed plans for improvements. Supported by the engineering team and process technician.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities and implement change.
  • Manage training programmes.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.
  • Submit detailed reports to the leadership Team.


Person Specification

Required Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 3 years working within a manufacturing or recycling facility Preferably mechanical recycling or multistage production processes.
  • Experience in a fast based production environment.
  • Understanding of production cost management.
  • Risk Management.
  • Risk Assessments.
  • Lean manufacturing experience. (Optional)

Shift Pattern: Day shift - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Out of hours site support by phone as required).
