We are close to the A50, M1 and M42 and within a short commute time from Derby, Nottingham and Leicester.\n\nAbout the role:\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wants to develop their skills working in an expanding and fast paced and skilled team.

The primary role of Production Estimator will be responsible for the completion of estimates and quotation of enquiry, daily administrative support for UK Production, and to keep the ERP system up to date with relevant and accurate costings.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nRespond to RFQ requests from Procurement and Service departments.\nIdentify processing routes (make/ buy decision) from technical drawings and facility capabilities.\nLiaise with Procurement for costings and lead times for materials and bought out items.\nCreate accurate manufacturing costings and lead times, input into the ERP system (SAP), and review/ validate past costings.\nWork closely with immediate colleagues (Production Manager, Production Planner and Machine Shop Operators) to understand capacities and any changes which may impact manufacture cost/ time.\nDevelop good working relationships with stakeholders to be able to embed the company’s control standards, systems and methods delivering accurate and quality project performance in a timely manner.\nProvide general administrative support to the Machine Shop including holiday cover where required.\nAny other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team.\n\nExpected Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Knowledge:\n\nExperience of business-related administration.\nExperience of manufacturing processes within a machining/ assembly environment, including knowledge & understanding of engineering drawings.\nKnowledge of materials and alternatives advantageous.\nExcellent computing skills across the Microsoft office suite and SAP production system.\nAbility to communicate effectively both written and oral.\nAttention to detail and ability to identify anomalies in data.\nGoal orientated and task driven, able to work to tight deadlines within a pressurised environment, while remaining customer focused and maintaining accuracy of data.\nFlexible and adaptable with the ability to work alone and unsupervised as well as part of a team\nWork with minimal supervision once trained.\nREF-(phone number removed)
