Job Description

Production Engineer – Manufacturing | Up to £40,000

Location: Chadderton

As Production Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety on the shop floor. You’ll work closely with operations, maintenance, and design teams to drive performance and support new product introduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and improve production processes to reduce waste and downtime
  • Support implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot process issues
  • Assist in the introduction of new products and processes into manufacturing
  • Maintain and update documentation such as work instructions and process flows
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical challenges

About You:

  • Degree/HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
