Annual Salary: Up to £30,000 Location: Newcastle Job Type: Full-timeWe are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated Production Assistant to join a well-established, family-run business known for crafting exceptional ice cream. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about ice cream production and is eager to support the daily production process in a company that values craftsmanship and community.
Day-to-day of the role:
Assist in the production of a diverse range of ice cream products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency. Support the production team under the guidance of the Ice Cream Production Manager to achieve excellent results. Help maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, with an understanding of HACCP principles. Assist in managing stock levels, ingredient ordering, and production scheduling. Help monitor and maintain production equipment, addressing any issues under supervision. Collaborate with the production team to support new product development and manage seasonal product ranges.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in ice cream or gelato production is advantageous. Strong organisational skills, capable of supporting a small team. Hands-on approach with a willingness to engage in all aspects of production. Basic understanding of food safety regulations and quality control processes. Good communication and teamwork skills, able to work closely with both production staff and management.Benefits:
