Product Owner – eCommerce Platform (Magento)

Manchester (client can not offer hybrid or remote)

£50,000 – £65,000


My client is a fast-growing Manchester-based eCommerce retailer in the homeware space, with revenues of £61m last year and strong continued growth projected.


As part of this growth, they are looking to hire a Product Owner to take ownership of their Magento-based eCommerce platform and drive its ongoing development.

This role sits at the intersection of business and technology. It’s less about trading or merchandising, and more about owning the platform, shaping the roadmap, and ensuring delivery of meaningful improvements.


The Role

  • Own the Magento platform backlog, prioritising what gets built and why
  • Work closely with an external development partner to scope and deliver changes
  • Translate business and customer needs into clear, actionable requirements
  • Manage delivery through sprint cycles, ensuring work is completed to a high standard
  • Oversee releases, QA and post-launch validation
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve platform performance and user experience
  • Act as the key link between commercial teams and technical delivery

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience working with Magento / Adobe Commerce (essential)
  • Background as a Product Owner, Platform Manager, or similar
  • Strong experience managing backlogs and prioritising development work
  • Comfortable working closely with developers or external agencies
  • Able to balance commercial needs with technical delivery
  • Experience working in an eCommerce environment

  • Based onsite in Manchester (this is a fully onsite role)
  • Salary up to £60,000
