Our fantastic client, an award- winning designer and manufacturer, are looking for an ambitious early‑career engineer who wants to accelerate their development in Quality, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
In this role, you’ll ensure the quality of our client’s conservatories, orangeries and kitchens from initial design through to final installation working across every department and seeing the visible impact of your decisions in real time.
This is a rare opportunity to report directly to the CEO, who will also act as your mentor. You’ll gain exposure to strategic thinking, cross functional collaboration and the full product lifecycle. If you’re looking for a role that is both practical and intellectually stimulating, this is it.
You’ll spend time in the office, factory and on selected installation sites solving problems, improving processes and helping deliver right first time quality for every customer.
What You’ll Be Doing
Quality Engineering – Factory & Site
* Work with teams across sales, surveying, production, installation and suppliers to improve processes and reduce rework.
* Lead root‑cause investigations using tools such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa, CAPA, PDCA and DMAIC.
* Identify recurring defects, analyse patterns and drive lessons learned into future work.
* Define quality standards and develop inspection plans for key production and installation milestones.
* Carry out random in‑process and final inspections in both factory and site environments.
* Support the introduction of new products, materials and manufacturing methods.
* Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure raw materials meet quality requirements.
Continuous Improvement
* Drive CI initiatives across factory and site operations.
* Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions and inspection documentation.
* Monitor and report key quality KPIs (defects, rework, site issues, customer complaints).

What We’re Looking For
* A degree or technical diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality or similar).
* 1–3 years’ experience in a quality, production or lean manufacturing environment.
* Practical experience with quality tools (Ishikawa, 5 Whys, CAPA, PDCA, DMAIC).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Comfortable working in both factory and construction site environments.
* Strong communication skills and a practical, solution‑focused mindset.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
* Experience in construction, installation or manufacturing
