Product Design Engineer
A forward-thinking engineering firm specializing in the design and manufacturing portable, are seeking a Product Design Engineer to join its expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within a supportive, collaborative environment at the forefront of product development.
Location: Chepstow area Working Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm Friday: 8:30am–1:30pm
Role Purpose
You will play a key role in delivering innovative mechanical design solutions that align with the company’s strategic objectives. You’ll contribute to both new product development and improvements to an existing product range, all within a structured and supportive engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop new and improved products that are cost-effective, safe, and reliable.
* Deliver custom design solutions tailored to individual customer requirements.
* Manage design projects using sound engineering principles and structured methodology.
* Create technical drawings and documentation for internal use, client quotations, and production.
* Apply engineering calculations and FEA to predict structural performance.
* Prepare technical reports and analyses as needed.
* Manage and maintain bills of materials using the company’s ERP system.
