Product Compliance Engineer (ATEX / Hazardous Area) Cambridge, hybrid | ⏰ 37.5 hours

A growing technology business is looking for a Product Compliance Engineer with strong ATEX and intrinsic safety experience to take ownership of compliance for battery powered IIoT products deployed in hazardous environments. This role is about technical ownership. You will be the point of reference for ATEX and Ex compliance, working closely with engineering and operations to ensure products are certified, documented, and audit ready from concept through to manufacture.

What you’ll be responsible for ⚠️ Owning ATEX and IECEx compliance for intrinsically safe products Leading certification activities, from application and test planning through to listing Ensuring designs align with intrinsic safety standards and hazardous area requirements Creating and maintaining safety manuals, installation guides, and safe use documentation Managing audits, follow up inspections, and ongoing compliance activities Supporting engineering change control and manufacturing documentation Supporting additional country approvals as products are deployed globally
