To organise, manage and control the Unit Quality Organisation. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Maintain and control the Quality System, including the internal audit programme, ensuring compliance with Quality policies and objectives as well as customer and regulatory requirements. Review all quality cost and quality statistics within the unit and co-ordinate actions to reduce non-conformance costs. Review Quality System performance in association with operational needs and establish objectives in conjunction with Unit Departmental Heads. Provide specialist assistance to all functions on Quality associated issues. Develop, lead and motivate a team in line with Spirit values, leadership behaviours and Achieving Excellence System. Influence and support the adoption of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools and techniques in the business. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that sufficient detail is provided on the application form to demonstrate how the applicant meets essential job criteria, along with desirable criteria, as this alone will be used for vetting purposes. Candidates must have an HNC or equivalent qualification in a business or engineering discipline with at least 5 years quality experience in an Industrial/Engineering environment including relevant supervisory/leadership experience. Candidates with lesser qualifications and at least 7 years quality experience in an Industrial/Engineering environment, including relevant supervisory/leadership experience will also be considered. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Quality Management Systems. DESIRABLE CRITERIA Experience of direct engagement with customers and regulatory bodies. Practical knowledge of APQP. Relevant experience in an Aerospace Engineering environment Applications must be completed and submitted by 4PM Tuesday 19th August 2025.
