As part of this strategy, the Corporate Procurement Unit (CPU) is recruiting a Procurement Officer.
Responsibilities
You will develop and implement contract strategies aligned with the Procurement Strategy to deliver value for money in the procurement of routine/low-risk supplies, services, and works as designated by the Business Partners – Strategic Procurement.
Requirements
About you:
- Experience in a project environment where stakeholder relationship management is critical and with significant process and procedure controls.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good planning, organizational, and commercial skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to analyze and evaluate data including costs, risks, and benefits, and present findings clearly.
- Ability to support the development of specifications, terms and conditions, and manage quotation documentation for routine sourcing.
- Positive, flexible, adaptable, motivated, organized, resilient, and capable of managing competing priorities within challenging timescales.
- Experience supporting project teams or User Intelligence Groups to achieve outcomes.
- Commitment to professional development and supporting others’ development.
- Credibility, reliability, and ability to promote the procurement function with high ethical standards.
- HNC in Procurement or Supply, HND in a relevant business discipline, or equivalent work experience.
