Job Description
My client is currently looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their cash & carry operation. This is a key role responsible for managing purchasing operations, supplier relationships, category management, and stock-related activities, working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth and cost-effective supply operations. You will take ownership of the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring stable supply, healthy margins, and accurate system data.
This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams in a fast-paced wholesale environment.\n\nPosition: Mandarin Speaking Procurement Manager\n Salary: £40,000-£50,000\n Type: Permanent, Full time\n Location: Fully on site\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nDevelop and implement procurement strategies to ensure stable supply and cost efficiency\nManage both local and overseas suppliers, including price negotiation, contracts, and relationship management\nLead and support the procurement team, overseeing daily purchasing operations\nPlan purchasing activities based on sales data, inventory levels, and demand forecasts\nSelect and manage new products, including market research and category management\nAnalyse procurement costs, margins, and market trends to support commercial decision-making\nMaintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and SAP system data\nAllocate item codes, set selling prices, upload product photos in SAP, and maintain product catalogues\nWork closely with operations teams and head office buyers to improve supply chain efficiency\nSupport sales and shop floor teams with product-related issues and provide timely solutionsKey Requirements\n\nMinimum 3 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management (retail, food, or wholesale background )\nFluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English\nHands-on experience with procurement processes, SAP systems, and inventory management\nStrong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills\nGood communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
