Job Description

A brand new, urgent role working for an existing class procurement function to manage the Engineering & Maintenance category, reporting into the Head of Category for the team.
This role will be covering a wide range of key supplier areas such as; Heavy Base Equipment, Ground Handling, Ground Fleet, MRO and Engineering Services. In order to hold credible stakeholder conversations to gain trust and buy in, you will have likely come from an Airline Business, Airport or Aviation Supplier.
Roles and responsibilities:
Design and oversee the strategy for developing, renewing, and managing frameworks in line with organisational goals
Identify opportunities for new frameworks that align with industry trends, market demands, and member needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers, negotiating contracts that deliver competitive pricing, quality, and service levels.
Managed and build relationships with other sector-relevant bodies.
Collaborate closely with consortium members to understand their purchasing needs to deliver maximum value.

Experience and requirements:
Extensive procurement experience managing Engineering, MRO or Maintenance categories
Proven experience in procurement or category management within an Aviation related business
Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations
Excellent negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to assimilate and analyse complex data and to work productively as part of a team
Demonstrated success in managing and optimising large-scale procurement frameworks or tender.
Financial literacy and commercial understanding
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
Degree Educated is preferable
MCIPS qualified or at least studying CIPS
