Lara et al is a boutique interior design company which focuses on the mid to high end residential market in the UK, Europe and North America. The company was founded by Lara Gabrielle Bates, who has decades of experience working with clients in the high end prime residential and commercial market.
The team of 7 people has worked on varied and unique projects around the world ranging from country mansions, London townhouses, luxury penthouse apartments and superyachts in the UK and abroad. The studio is based in Folkestone, but most of the projects are in London.
We are looking to offer a suitable candidate the opportunity to work alongside the existing team to hone their skills and experiences within this area.
Role Description
This is a part-time (3 days per week) ideally hybrid (2 days per week in the Folkestone office) role for a Procurement Lead. The Procurement Lead will be responsible for managing the procurement process, sourcing materials and services, negotiating contracts, collaborating with suppliers and vendors, and ensuring that procurement aligns with project timelines and budgets. Additional responsibilities include maintaining vendor relationships, monitoring market trends, and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
Desired skills and experience
A minimum of three+ years’ relevant experience
Experience working on any of the following: hotels, commercial projects and high‑end residential projects
A strong network and knowledge of high‑end suppliers & manufacturers
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
A solid software proficiency using MS Office (esp. Excel). Previous experience to specification database. E.g. EstiPC, Spexx/Exxpedite
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
