About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Procurement Director to lead procurement across the UK & EMEA region. This role is responsible for delivering value, managing risk, and ensuring high-quality supply chain performance while supporting long-term business growth.

You will act as a key advisor to senior stakeholders, driving best practices in procurement and developing high-performing supplier partnerships.


Key Responsibilities


Procurement Leadership


  • Lead procurement strategy across business units to deliver value, quality, and risk mitigation
  • Influence stakeholders on best practices and supplier strategies
  • Support contract retenders, supplier deep-dives, and mobilisation of new supply chains
  • Drive compliance with preferred supplier frameworks


Supplier Strategy & Management


  • Analyze spend and supplier performance to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
  • Source and evaluate new suppliers, including emerging sectors
  • Negotiate contracts to deliver best value and service quality
  • Conduct supplier audits, benchmarking, and performance reviews
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement across the supply chain


Category & Supply Chain Development


  • Develop and implement category strategies across regions and sectors
  • Optimise supplier base and leverage high-performing partnerships
  • Collaborate with central procurement and cross-functional teams
  • Champion procurement tools, systems, and best practices


Stakeholder Engagement


  • Educate and influence internal stakeholders on procurement strategy
  • Partner with finance, commercial, and operational teams
  • Support communication and alignment of procurement initiatives


About You


  • CIPS qualified (or working towards) or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in procurement within complex, multi-site organisations
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering savings
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Analytical mindset with structured decision-making approach
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel across the UK
